Return trip to Michie! Well I just got home from the emergence room. Right arm in a splint and left arm still hurts bad. So lets start from the first of the weekend. Friday we had several come to Corinth from Birmingham. So we went to Hatchie and rode ATV's for about 20 miles.I think we found every mud hole down there. Some even jumped or should I say got threw off in a few mud holes. After that we returned to the house and Kristina cooked out on the grill for us. We had to work on a few of the ATV's because of a few little run ins with large mud holes. Saturday morning started with a great breakfast from the country boy cafe. Once everyone was at the rally point in Michie we hit the trails with 50+ ATV's after a short meeting. What a great group. I think we rode some really great trails. We stopped and had lunch at the over look. After that we split into 2 groups. One group took the good trail the other group of which I was with took the MUD ride. Man was it fun. Once again I think most everyone got stuck in the bottom, but everyone helped get all ATV's across the bottom. We all got back together and rode back to the creek. It was really hard trying to go down the creek due to all the logs and stuff that has washed up in piles in it. So I got this great ideal to ride up the steep creek bank and check it out. First try I didn't make it. Lisa and Steve told me not to try it again. I said it's not so bad. So up the bank I went again and over backwards came the big Polaris right on top of me. There I was just lying in the creek bed. Thanks to everyone that turned my ATV back up right and helped me get up. Peggy Thompson did a really great job of riding for this to be her first ATV's ride alone on her new Kawasaki. She only flipped once but she didn't have to got to the ER. We went back out on the trails and rode some more. We rode about 30 miles in all. I would like to say thinks to Bobby Rodgers who led most of the way so I could stay at the back of the group with Dennis White. Ray Nichols really helped keep the riders going and together also with Roy Peden and Ralph. Ken Young stayed the weekend with us while The Manning and Busby family's stayed at a local motel. Also thanks to all club members that was on this ride because each one of you helped make this a really great ride! I hope everyone enjoyed the ride as much as I did and I cant wait until we ride again! Happy Trails!
