Well the 2004 Chickasaw ride is over. We have 50+ ATV. Saturdays ride was 45 miles for most that stayed all day. The weather turned out great for Saturdays ride. The club split up into groups of about 10. This seems to work best. The trails at Chickasaw being mostly gravel or dirt road put us in search for some more challenging trails. We did find a few before we all met back at Owens Cemetery for lunch. After lunch most of the group that was left set out on and adventure that was ended in disappointment. To much road ride trying to get to another trail head to be cut off by a Highway. We returned to the main rally point and most loaded up after this for the drive home.
Some of the Shoals ATV club members did stay at Chickasaw for most of the weekend. Some camped some stayed in cabins. The few that remained met at the parks restaurant for a nice meal after the ride and later went to the campground and sat around the camp fire.
Some of us returned to the trails on Sunday. We trailer our ATV's down the road to the trails that we didn't get to ride on Saturday. We rode 15 miles. The trails were about the same as the ones we rode the day before. I really enjoyed the weekend and I look forward to the Hodges ride coming up March 20th.
See you there!

Good reports on the Feburary club ride. 50+ riders on an easy laid back ride - sunshine galore - Tony Kirk sends a big THANK YOU to Mike Shipman for taking the reign
of the trail-boss. No injuries, no ATV's on the blink - sounds like just fun-fun-fun-fun. Hey, I think that's one of the
requirements of club membership. See you next ride.
